Apple is looking for a Sr. Display Engineer to lead the design, development, and qualification of the next generation Touch Displays used in Mac portable products.

Key Qualifications

• Must have deep understanding on all mainstream display touch technologies and their pros and cons from optical FOS, electrical, and touch perspectives
• Should demonstrate strong EE fundamentals, including analog & digital design, signal & power integrity, etc
• Minimum 3 years working experience in display industry on display electrical engineering design and/or touch display design
• Must have clear logical thinking on problem solving process
• Must have strong data analysis skills
• Excellent project managements with clear schedule driven mindset, good written and verbal
• communication skills, and people skills
• Able and willing to travel internationally (up to 20% annually)
• Experiences in developing and manufacturing high volume display products is preferred

This individual will serve as a focal point among touch display design, module & system integration, and components suppliers, managing all engineering activities necessary to deliver touch displays into final products from initial design concept to mass production. The individual will work with Apple internal cross-functional teams and external vendors. The individual will be responsible for the overall touch display module development acting as Direct Responsible Individual (DRI):
Investigate up-to-date touch technologies for LCD and OLED touch technologies
Define and review the overall display module optical FOS/electrical/touch architecture and
performance requirements (including panel & backlight)
Define & execute rigorous validation plan and procedures for display overall performances
Work with system design team and system reliability teams to understand system and validate
display modules at system level
Work with cross-functional teams and suppliers through the entire product development cycle
and support the initial product ramp

Education & Experience

PhD in Electrical Engineering, or Computer Sciences, or MS with minimum 3 years experience, or BS degree with a minimum of 5 years experience
