The Ethernet Product Group (EPG) Foundational NIC Customer Experience team is looking for a motivated Communications Service Provider (CoSP) / Telco Senior Application Engineer. The individual will work closely with local and global partners for driving EPG products into CoSP/Telco market segment.  

Responsibilities for the technical team lead for the CoSP and Telco customer-facing activities, including but not limited to:

  • Familiarity with network adapters
  • Lead critical debug efforts
  • Be an empowered decision maker
  • Be on the cutting edge of understanding the current and future technologies in this space
  • Use engineering problem solving processes to lead logical, fruitful debug and root cause identification efforts
  • You need to have clear, appropriately leveled communication to a range of audiences spanning engineers, customers, standards bodies and ECS/EPG leadership. You'll be challenged to balance the urgency of customer issues and escalations with investments in customer feature requests. You must establish productive, collaborative relationships with peers and partners. Know their products, customers, what matters to them, and how your team fits in


Qualifications

Candidates must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Requirements listed below would be obtained through a combination of Industry job relevant experience, internship experiences, and or schoolwork/classes/research.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or related field of study
  • 4+ years of industry work experience
  • Involvement with PTP, SyncE, oRAN, vRAN, DPDK and other relevant technologies
  • Experience with VMware, Linux, FreeBSD and 3rd party OSes

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post Graduate degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or related field of study
  • Experience of working with/in CoSP/Telco or CoSP/Telco's 1st line suppliers
  • Experience with Class 4/5 switching, Soft-switches
  • Experience of LAN/WAN, ethernet adaptor HW Architecture, FW and Driver
  • Knowledgeable in Datacenter and Cloud infrastructures and operations, Virtualization, Cloud Computing, Networking, and Storage

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Colorado:
$97,230.00-$160,990.00

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
