Retail Engineering makes the world's best Retail experience possible. We build the Apple Online Store, the Apple Store app, and the many applications that keep Apple's retail stores running. As a Senior Finance & Planning Analyst, you'll be a part of the backbone of our organization, supporting capital planning, financial forecasting, quarterly business reviews and compliance.
In this role, you will drive financial projects with a focus on resource allocation, metrics and tools. This role will partner with key engineering stakeholders across the organization, as well as partners throughout IS&T and Finance.
Key Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in financial management, accounting, or controlling
- Expertise in Procure-to-Pay processes
- Knowledge of the rules of capitalization (labor, software development, equipment)
- Comfortable and confident dealing with ambiguity in a dynamic environment
- Proven capacity to innovate to support the organization's finance and planning goals
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- An aim to standardize methodology, business processes and solutions
- We are looking for a teammate with an ability to partner at all levels of the Retail Engineering organization.
- Proven track record to work in a fast paced environment and to partner across multiple functions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills suitable for an audience of IS&T and Finance Leaders (Directors and Sr. Directors)
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and an ability to craft a narrative presentation using data and financials
Description
Build and lead the annual Operating Expenses budget
Lead all aspects of monthly and quarterly financial forecasts, ongoing financial analysis, and the monthly and quarterly close processes with a focus on streamlining processes and improving efficiency
Support various planning and forecasting efforts, including creating the annual financial plan
Analyze operating expenses and identify key expense trends
Drive the Retail Engineering to meet financial targets while still achieving key business objectives
Provide complete and timely read-out of financial results and critical metrics to senior Retail leadership
Build reports and dashboards that help drive insights
Build and maintain positive relationships within Retail Engineering, IS&T, and the Finance organization
Education & Experience
B.S. in Finance, Economics or equivalent industry experience
Additional Requirements
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and data analysis skills
- Knowledge of SAP
