Apple Recycling team is looking for an experienced, collaborative, and highly organized leader to serve as Senior Manager for Apple's Recycling program. The ideal candidate will lead and manage Apple Recycling's operation globally. The candidate will also successfully interact with business groups and customers to understand requirements and to develop solutions for Apple reuse and recycling needs to ensure that brand, security and environmental protection requirements are consistently met.

Key Qualifications

  • 8 - 10 years of experience in the manufacturing and electronic recycling space and industry.
  • Management and leadership experience.
  • Highly experienced in the manufacturing & electronics recycling process, industry, and e-waste regulations.
  • Effective communicator able to interact with and influence business partners at all levels.
  • Ability to synthesize data and business processes and recommend viable and innovative solutions.
  • Exceptional ability to find solutions to complex business problems and remain poised when confronted with challenges.
  • Able to work on and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Ability to lead, mentor, and manage a highly motivated global team.
  • Travel up to 20-30% of the time.


Provide leadership and strategic direction for the Apple Recycling team to ensure that corporate goals, standards, and commitments are met or exceeded.

Lead the Apple Recycling team to develop and operate innovative and industry-leading programs globally and drive continuous improvements.

Effectively communicate and document program performance and status to Senior Management.

Evaluate and analyze Apple's reuse and recycling needs globally and develop solutions for all types of programs. Provide a high level of service to Apple organizations, external groups, and customers.

Develop and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) to demonstrate and ensure optimal effectiveness of recycling programs and operations.

Partner with various internal & external stakeholders globally to drive and manage key recycling and environmental initiatives/operations. These include, but are not limited to internally generated electronic and confidential scraps, manufacturing scraps, consumer and retail scrap returns, sales channel trade-in, regulatory compliance programs, environmental & closed-loop programs, and scrap security/audit programs.

Support corporate EHS and Global Security compliance audits of Apple's take back and recycling chain globally, ensuring that all steps in the recycling chain meet or exceed regulatory, security, and contractual performance requirements.

Maintain thorough knowledge of all applicable regulations on the collection and management of Apple branded product waste and the trans-boundary movement of this material. Ensure that all material is moved to the selected recycling solution in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Manage staff, technical consultants, and vendors to assess, develop and implement innovative and industry-leading programs globally as needed.

Responsible for management of Global Reuse and Recycling group budget and investments.

Education & Experience

BS/BA degree in Business Management, Environmental Management or equivalent. MS highly preferred.
