Intel Graphics is responsible for delivering industry-leading GPU, 3D, Media, Compute, and Display hardware intellectual property IP blocks and system on chip (SoC) products for discrete graphics and throughput computing. We are looking for a Graphics Software Engineer working on a team responsible for developing Intel's Direct3D Graphics Driver for Microsoft Windows Operating Systems. You will implement features, debug issues between the hardware, driver, OS, games, and applications to ensure maximum performance and reliability. You will apply advanced principles, theories, and concepts to innovate and solve problems while communicating ideas and solutions with all stakeholders. We are looking for candidates that enjoy working with teams and possess strong communication skills.
Qualifications
You
must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially
considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in
addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus
factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
Candidates should possess a
Bachelor's degree with 10+ years experience, or a
Master's degree with 6+ years' experience,
or Ph.D. Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or
related field.
Candidates must have
experience in the following areas:
-
C/C++ development
- Operating
Systems
- Graphics Driver Development
- 3D
Graphics development experience using Direct 3D 10, 12, OpenGL, or
Vulkan
- 3D Shader Development experience (Either
assembly or HLSL)
- Debugging software problems using
Microsoft development tools (Visual Studio, WinDbg, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience
building drivers for Windows Operating Systems

Experience developing and debugging applications on Intel
Architecture (IA)
- Analysis of source code for
performance optimizations, either by code inspection or by external
tools (i.e., Vtune, PIX, Intel Graphics Performance
Analyzers)
- Experience reading and debugging assembly
language
- Experience with Compilers/JIT code generation
and high-level
optimizations
