Key Qualifications

  • 5+ years interaction, visual and/or product design
  • Demonstrable hands-on experience with iOS app design
  • Expert knowledge of the Apple Human Interface Guidelines
  • Strong understanding of app development process and Apple frameworks
  • Deep understanding of typography and the application of branding for mobile experiences
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills
  • Possess a professional and credible demeanor
  • Proven public speaking and presentation skills
  • Excellent collaborative and creative problem-solving skills
  • Highly professional, with the ability to deliver solid work on tight schedules
  • Motivated, proactive, outgoing, and comfortable working in a loosely structured organization
  • Diverse industry experience
  • Self-starter who takes initiative and drives to solutions across teams
  • Enthusiasm for an iterative design process, inspired by group critique
  • Synthesizes complex information into simple design solutions
  • Ability to communicate design concept ideas through sketches
  • Proficient on the latest Mac OS X and iOS platforms
  • Expert knowledge of Sketch, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator and current iWork suite (Pages, Keynote, Numbers)
  • Working knowledge of the current prototyping tools such as Flinto or Principal is a plus
  • Flexible, able to adjust work schedule as needed to accommodate connection with global teams
  • Prepared to travel worldwide
  • Well versed in Apple's history and able to exemplify the company culture in interactions

Description

We are looking for a Senior iOS designer with extraordinary visual and user interface design skills, as well as user-centered design principals. As our ideal candidate, you are dynamic, results-driven and enjoy a high-change environment that is evolving to meet the needs of our 3rd party Developer and Designer community. You will be a senior team member on a multi-disciplinary team responsible for brainstorming concepts, sketching wireframes, prototyping mockups, participating in design/app critiques, refining design directions and finalizing design details. You will identify, document, and communicate design team progress, industry trends, and technical issues across customer app projects and across various teams at Apple. Additionally, as a senior team member, you will contribute to and help with building our vision and strategy for the design team, and operationalizing the strategy within cross-functional teams throughout Apple

Education & Experience

Bachelors or equivalent in Human Computer Interaction Design, Interaction Design, User Experience Design, Communication Design, Information Architecture, or equivalent experience
