As a Senior Software Engineer and the go to person for all things Linux, you will join a team of employees working on a solution being built from the ground up with a customized and Intel optimized lightweight Linux OS. A successful candidate will have an established background in developing and delivering commercial SW products with geographically distributed teams, strong technical ability, and execution skills to deliver results in a fast paced environment.

Qualifications

You must possess the education and minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or STEM related field with minimum 8-10+ years' experience developing production quality software, or

Master's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or STEM related field with 6+ years of experience

Minimum Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience with Linux OS, kernel, user space, middleware architecture and development on client platforms

• 1-2 years' Experience creating and maintaining Linux distros while building/integrating new capabilities and optimizations

• 2+ years' experience with media/graphics/display, media frameworks, codecs and streaming technologies

• 7+ years' experience in C++, C

• 5-7 years' experience with Git and CI/CD development environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Open Source development experience with Ubuntu, Linux Mint, Redhat or other desktop distributions

• Experience with Agile SW development

• Excellent analytical and debugging skills
