-Mechanical Engineer responsible for the conceptual and detail design and analysis of advanced hardware through the full product life cycle.
-Work collaboratively with individuals from complementary disciplines within the Engineering, Manufacturing and Sub-Contracts organizations.
-Apply research to the planning, design, development, and testing of new aerospace and related products.
-Work with little direction and develop advanced technical principles, techniques and concepts.
-Provide stress analysis support for product design. Specifically, must be proficient in stress analysis, finite element analysis, structural testing, structural test correlation.
-Must be knowledgeable in structural analysis, report writing, presentations preparation and oral delivery. -Requires knowledge of related application software such as Nastran, Abaqus, NX, I-DEAS, FEMAP, Patran, HyperMesh, BetaCAE. Provide general program support toward achieving technical, schedule, and cost performance objectives for production and design engineering
-Assist with production issues resolution and root cause analysis
-Communicate technical status and issues to internal and external program and functional leadership
-Occasional travel to provide on-site support at customer and suppliers locations

-Atlanta, GA is 6 hours to the northwest

Basic Qualifications
-Candidate MUST hold an Active Department of Defense Secret Clearance

-Individuals are required to have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, preferably in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering

-Candidates must have at least 5 years of professional experience working, preferably working specifically in a Mechanical Engineering role focused on Stress / Structural analysis

-Professional, hands-on experience providing stress analysis support for product design
-Specifically, must be proficient in stress analysis, finite element analysis, structural testing and structural test correlation
-Must have knowledge of related application software such as Nastran, Abaqus, NX, I-DEAS, FEMAP, Patran, HyperMesh and BetaCAE
-Significant experience with FEA modeling
-Basic knowledge of manufacturing methods
-Must be knowledgeable in structural analysis, report writing, presentations preparation and oral delivery
-Apply research to the planning, design, development, and testing of new aerospace and related products
-Work with little direction and develop advanced technical principles, techniques and concepts
-Provide general program support toward achieving technical, schedule, and cost performance objectives for production and design engineering
-Experience in hardware design and development

Desired skills
-Demonstrated strong problem solving and analytical skills
-Excellent English writing and verbal communication skills for generating test plans, test reports, documentation, and potentially proposals are necessary
-Mature computer skills are required, including proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
