In the role of a Senior Power and Performance Engineer you will be involved in the following:
Research and development of next generation platform designs to continually improve the performance
Conducting system analysis on proprietary and competition platforms
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Research and development of next generation platform designs to continually improve the performance
Conducting system analysis on proprietary and competition platforms
Analyzing the distribution of Frequency, Voltage, Bandwidth, Power, and Performance within the Graphics IP and System on Chip SOC across a broad range of graphics applications to validate PnP data, identify bottlenecks and uncover opportunities for power and performance optimizations
Communicating with Planning, Marketing, Engineering, and Architecture teams to track and release regular updates on Power and Performance during the product life cycle
Ensuring platform and its components have the best performance and power balance specifically focusing on graphics hardware components
Researching and developing the next generation platform designs to continually improve on performance
Conducting system analysis on proprietary and competition platforms, develops advanced hardware tuning and overclocking
Behavioral Attributes Sought:
Ability to effectively work with a diverse, cross geographical team of engineers, planners, and finance teams through planning, development, and design, while delivering to results
Qualifications
Minimum Education and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering with 6+ years of industry working experience in one, or more, of the following areas:
Power analysis of semi-conductor hardware: system architecture and/or micro-architecture for processor, IP and SOC
Semiconductor solid-state physics and processing technology
Analytical, process engineering with strong stakeholder management skills
Computer and/or Graphics Architecture Graphics Design and/or Validation
Data analysis, debugging and problem-solving skill
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering and 4+ years industry working experience in one or more of the areas mentioned above
Power and Performance Analysis including modeling, estimation, and detailed analysis
Roadmap / Business knowledge in Client/Server segments
Software and Scripting skills to include Windows/Unix, C/C++/Perl/Python/Ruby, Java, Microsoft SQL/MySQL
3D, GPGPU/OCL, and/or media graphics architectures

Range for jobs which could be performed in US,
Colorado:
$132,940.00-$199,800.00
