The Accelerated
Computing Systems and Graphics Group (AXG), is a newly formed group
to increase focus and accelerate execution in strategic growth
areas of high-performance computing and graphics for Intel. Within
AXG, the Custom Compute (XCC) organization is chartered with
building custom SOC silicon and packages to deliver unique
solutions for customer needs. We are looking for an experienced SoC
/ System Architects with strong technical and great collaboration
skills to join our team.
As SOC/System
Architect, you will play a leadership role in exploring new
Technologies and Architecture concept intercepts into products,
looking at various aspects of Performance, Power, Design tradeoffs.
Exposures to CPU, SOC, Memory Architectures is
needed.
Your responsibilities will include, but
are not limited to:
- Investigating novel Architectural opportunities to put together SOC/System Architectures utilizing best possible CPU, Interconnect (serial and parallel), Protocol, Fabric and Memory mixes
- Driving product intercepts with appropriate Power, Performance, Area and Feature justifications
- Working with u-Architects to evaluate feasibility of new Technologies and collaborate to define feasible solutions
- Collaborating on Performance models to justify new Features and Technologies
- Working with Post-si SW teams to characterize various features
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidate must have a BS/MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
You also must have 7+ years of experience in a mix of following areas:
- Leading SOC/System Arch/uArch definitions
- Experience with one or more areas including Design, Pre-Si/Post-Si Validation, Modeling, Platform Architecture, SW development

Work Model for this Role
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
