Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or
higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical
Engineering or similar STEM degree
5+ years of experience
in:
C or C++ programming
Experienced working on PC and/or embedded systems
5 + years of experience with one or more of the following:
Experience working in firmware or device/kernel driver development, software or test architecture, or system debug
Experience working in complex technical analysis within system integration or validation
Experience working in Operating systems such as Windows, Linux or Chrome
Data structures, OOPS concepts, computer architecture, operating systems, and multithreaded programming
Experience with tools for software version control or bug tracking
Preferred qualifications:
In addition to the minimum requirements, two or more years of experience with any of the following:
Python programming
Software development for pre-silicon platforms & environments is a plus
Knowledge of Computer architecture, ideally Intel platforms but not mandatory
Knowledge of Embedded systems & microcontrollers
Windows operating system fundamentals is an added advantage
Firmware or BIOS development expertise
Designs innovative solutions to complex problems
Agile/Scrum expertise
Familiarity with build automation using Jenkins, Github, Team City, Artifactory
Working with teams across different Geos
Technical leadership, decision-making skills with ability to influence large technical team
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to work independently as well as in Agile teams
Technical concepts, architecture, systems, development methods, and disciplines associated with the defined projects, applies the knowledge to deliverables, and leverages it to accelerate project completion

Work Model for this Role
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
