You'll be part of a team working to secure our software products with a big focus on system software. You'll be writing new tools to fuzz low-level software, to reach where no current commercial tools can. You'll be the expert that product teams across Intel come asking for your knowledge about how they can effectively fuzz their products: we need you to mentor them, not to run fuzzers for them. We expect you to contribute to open-source tools, to create your own open-source projects, to present at conferences, to teach about all the goodness that can be achieved with fuzzing.

We also need from you to be the technical lead for the team. We already have a great team but want and need to grow, take the next step to be a world-class team. Define what you think is the best path forward, work with management and other groups, and attract the talent to make that vision a reality.

Qualifications

• Deep experience in fuzzing. AFL++/LibAFL, Libfuzzer, Syzkaller, etc.

• Solid organization and communication skills. You'll need to influence and inspire others inside and outside your team.

• Great understanding of OS and hypervisor internals (Linux, Windows, KVM, Xen, Hyper-V, ACRN, etc).

• Great understanding of various CPU architectures (x86, ARM, RiscV) and FPGAs with particular focus on their debug capabilities.

• Great understanding of compiler and decompiler technologies (LLVM, BNIL).

• Great understanding of compiler assisted run-time bug detection systems (sanitizers).

• Excellent programming skills in C/C++, Rust, assembly.

• Proven track record of open-source contributions.

• Great understanding of development processes focused on maintainability using CI and automated tools (Jenkins, GitHub actions, Sphinx, Read the Docs, etc).

• Presentations at security conferences.
