Sensors are becoming a larger part of any product experience but they are already a fundamental part of the story for Audio and Home devices. The team is looking for a skilled and motivated individual that will be responsible to create the experience on the Audio and Home products of the future. The ideal candidate will have broad experience in a number of sensing devices and technologies and specifically in the complex algorithms necessary to make the sensor become an experience

Key Qualifications

  • 7+ years of firmware and device driver development in bare-metal or RTOS environments
  • 5+ years of sensing system hardware engineering experience including IMU, optical, capacitive, RF, acoustic sensors, thermal, strain
  • Familiarity with calibration, feature extraction, and classification is a plus. Capabilities include statistical signal processing and machine learning
  • Needs strong coding skills in C, C++
  • Proficiency in Python and/or Matlab is a plus
  • Must have hands-on experience in rapid prototyping, hardware bring-up, software feature design and development
  • Able to go learn how to quantify and test new technologies
  • Obsessively passionate and inquisitive, and seek to solve everyday problems in innovative ways
  • Availability to travel domestically and internationally for development and on-site manufacturing support is also expected

Description

Genuine passion for innovation and product development with experience from inception through delivery to customers. You will work very closely with the architecture team, the human experience team and Mechanical Design team to define and create sensing experiences for a number of future products. Specifically, during the concept design of a product, the candidate will be responsible to drive and create requirements, identify the best HW solutions available and design the SW algorithms. The individual will be also responsible for the overall sensor integration in the product and insuring the highest quality execution

Education & Experience

BS/MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent experience or skills
