The Data Center Group Platform Architecture team is seeking an experienced, self-motivated candidate to fulfill the role of Server Platform HW Architect focusing on Entry segment.
As a Platform Hardware Architect focusing on the Entry segment your responsibilities will include:
- Lead or contribute the development of new server technologies.
- Contribute to or define early server platform architecture concepts and definition.
- Provide deep analysis and recommendation in specific subsystem architecture areas in support of broader platform definition.
- Support product business and planning teams to complete product feature freeze and final architecture definition.
- Engage in OEM discussions to obtain feedback on specific features or technologies.
- Lead the Platform Architecture Workgroup, drive the platform architectural definition, and document in the Platform Architecture Specification (PAS).
- Support design engineering teams in product development phase as well as representing platform architecture issues exposed in design, validation, and test.

Qualifications
You
must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially
considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in
addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a positive
factor in identifying top candidates. Requirements listed may be
obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience,
internship experiences and or
schoolwork/classes/research.
Minimum
Requirements:
The candidate must have a Bachelor's
degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related
field with 9+ years of industry experience or
Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical
Engineering or related field with 6+ years of industry
experience.
Minimum
qualifications:
5+ years of experience
with:
- Server platform architectures, Si component architecture, power management architecture / design, or server system design.
- Technical domains such as SoC Architecture, Memory, RAS (reliability, accessibility, serviceability), and/or PCIe.
Preferred
qualifications:
- Experience in Intel processor architecture and micro-architectures including power efficiency.
- Experience in server system architectures including power management techniques and platform cost drivers.
- Experience with computing equipment power regulatory requirements and processes.
