Job Description

The Server Platform Architecture (SPA) team is looking for an experienced, self-motivated candidate to join us as a Server Hardware Architect. Come help us innovate and build the next generation of Data center platforms.

What you will do:

  • Collaborate with definitional architecture teams such as Server SoC architects, Si IP Architects, and platform architects to define the full system level solution space for future product lines.
  • Contribute to or define early (2-5 year horizon) server platform architecture concepts though deep analysis and influence SoC/IP definitions to meet platform level goals.
  • Contribute and advance server technologies such as RAS, Manageability, Power management and Security to help us stay ahead of the competition.
  • Engage in discussions with Cloud Service Providers, OEMs, and ODMs to obtain feedback on feature and architecture direction.
  • Author relevant sections of the Platform Architecture Specifications (PAS) and provide clear, solution-level functional requirements to guide engineering execution. Continue to support design teams in product development/validation phase and address platform architecture issues exposed in design, validation, and test.

Qualifications

Education Requirement:

The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field with 9+ years of industry experience or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field with 6+ years of industry experience.

Minimum qualifications:
5+ years of experience with:

  • Server platform architectures, Si component architecture, power management architecture, or server system design.
  • Technical domains such as SoC Architecture, Memory, RAS (reliability, accessibility, serviceability), and/or PCIe.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Deep understanding of Intel processor architecture, silicon architecture, and ingredient (memory, SSD, Networking) architectures.
  • Experience in server system architectures, system/board design, and platform cost drivers.
  • Experience with computing equipment power regulatory requirements and processes.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Colorado:
$148,930.00-$238,410.00

Work Model for this Role

This role is available as fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need.
