Job Description

The role:
An outstanding technical contributor and a passionate and dedicated Server Systems Power and Performance Architect who can join us to develop next-generation server simulators and use them to analyze complex workloads. A senior-level or aspiring member of technical staff who can quickly determine, using data, how next generation server platforms and high-performance CPUs should be engineered to accelerate adoption of our Xeon processors across cloud, enterprise and HPC customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Impact microarchitecture exploration, performance modeling, and analysis for SoC designs that include next-generation CPU cores, memory technologies, scalable interconnects, and quality-of-service. Advance performance simulation methodologies for server CPU exploration and projection.
  • Propose solutions to improve and enhance performance using an intimate understanding of design architecture. Develop tools and methodologies for performance analysis of server workloads.
  • Collaborate in micro-benchmarking, workload characterization, competitive analysis, bottleneck identification, and optimization. Communicate, propose, and implement solutions to processor and system performance issues.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Engineering or related field with 12+ years of experience or MS  in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Engineering  or related field with 8+ years of experience  or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Engineering or related field with 6+ years of experience
8+ years of experience with CPU, GPU, or computer system microarchitecture

8+ years of experience with the development and usage of computer system performance models

8+ years of experience with using Power and Performance analysis correlating to energy efficiency

Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of strong programming skills, including experience with C++ and Python (or similar).
5+ years of experience in running power and performance testing in cluster or at-scale level

5+ years of experience with computer workload analysis

Experience with multi-core systems and multi-thread interactions

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Colorado:
$171,710.00-$274,890.00
