Job Description

In this role the right candidate does the following job:

  • Develops, maintains, debugs and tests Engineering Design Automation tools, creates flows/scripts to analyze and test design methodologies, across various Front End flows from Simulation to Front End to Backend Drop offs.

  • Evaluates vendor practical capabilities to provide required products or services. Regresses environments to maintain full operational capabilities, across various Front End flows.

  • Partners with IT and other organizations to ensure disks, compute, and licensing costs are forecasted and maintained annually.

  • Design Automation Engineers are advocates of applying design methodologies to help execute projects effectively and successfully with high quality.

This position provides an exciting opportunity to join the team focused on developing innovative Servicing capabilities in collaboration numerous teams.

The candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining state of the art tools for our world-wide in-market portfolio of Intel CPU/SOC platform products. This will involve working with design and verification engineers to understand their needs and create tools to enable the engineers to be more efficient. The ideal candidate will have experience with Intel internal tools as well as industry standard tools and will guide the team to the best solution.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Candidate should possess a Bachelor of Science degree with at least 5+ years additional experience, in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.

  • If Candidate has Masters degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science, must have at least 3+ years work experience

  • 3+ years in a design automation role.

  • Familiar with IT-Computing and shell scripting.

  • 3+ years experience in EDA vendor tools.

  • Demonstrated expertise and proficiency in frontend design EDA tools from CAD vendors such as Synopsys and Cadence.

  • Good knowledge in System Verilog, Verilog, SoC design integration, design verification flow and methodology, Front End to Backend Handoffs.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ year experience with Tcl, Perl, Python

  • Experience with RTL Simulation and Synthesis

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
