As a Silicon Photonics
(SiP) Defect Reduction Engineer, you will be part of Intel's
Silicon Photonics Fab Yield team that is leading Intel's market
transition and driving innovation for the next generation of
optical interconnect products.
You will play a critical
role in the next generation of silicon photonics fabrication
processes by improving yield, process capability and
manufacturability.
We are looking for motivated candidates
who enjoy data analysis, have a desire to learn the full process
and then use that knowledge and various data streams to initiate
and implement process changes that increase product
yield.
Job
Description:
You will collaborate with (technology development) TD Integrators and SPPD (SiP Product Division) counterparts to ensure new products are capable of high-volume manufacturing at the time of PRQ, while also driving improvement to quality, reliability, cost, yield, productivity, and manufacturability.
You will build expertise on the SiP process and learn about yield-limiting defect mechanisms and how to implement process changes to mitigate risks and make improvements. You will do so through partnering with Yield teammates and TD Process Engineers from all departments.
You will develop solutions to problems utilizing formal education, statistical knowledge, experiment design, industry literature, and problem-solving tools.
You will develop strategies to resolve difficult problems and establishes systems to manage or eliminate these problems in the future.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Must possess a B.S., Masters or PhD in an Engineering (Chemical, Electrical, Materials, etc.) and/or Science discipline such as Physics, Optics/Photonics, and the following skills/experience:
2+ years of demonstrated experience in advanced data analysis and statistical process control, demonstrating expert level experience with JMP, GAJT and SQL.
Preferred
Qualifications:
1+ years of extensive experience in any of the following: Optics, Photonics, SiP, Lasers, or III/V compound.
1+ years of experience in process integration, defect reduction and/or yield analysis/improvement.
1+ years of fundamental understanding of semiconductor and/or SiP process flow.
