Job Summary:
The Shipboard Missiles Program Area Directorate, Navy Standard Missiles Systems is seeking to hire a depot program manager located in Tucson, Arizona at Raytheon Missile and Defense. This program manager will report directly to the Standard Missile Production Director and is responsible for the overall success of the Standard Missile 2 (SM-2) and Standard Missile 6 (SM-6) Depot contracts including Zumwalt retrofits.

The program manager will serve as a key driver in leading successful execution of the depot activities, setting the direction, leadership, and management for execution of the production execution, growth, and AOP commitments for the organization. The production program manager will also have the responsibility to indirectly manage functional teams to ensure flawless execution while meeting all contract deliverables. This role will also include the accountability for profit and loss, EAC authority, and margin expansion to our AOP.

This position is based in Tucson, Arizona and requires ability to travel domestically about 15% of the time.

Responsibilities to anticipate:
  • Monitor adherence to budgets, meet company financials and objectives including AOP bookings.
  • Establishes and maintains key program metrics, defines program milestones/critical path/tactical direction and monitor adherence to program budgets and schedules ensuring program meets customers needs, schedule and financials as defined within the contract.
  • Establishes an executable baseline schedule; negotiating and executing change requirements.
  • Ensures implementation of a robust Risk & Opportunity Management plan, including proactive schedule risk management, to ensure predictable program performance.
  • Uses approved program tracking control systems and reports that accurately measure progress, identifies potential problems in sufficient time for corrective action.
  • Builds, supervises and integrates the performance of the cross-functional teams and sub-contractors.
  • Focuses, evaluates, motivates and rewards the program team, enabling them to achieve desired results.
  • Acts as primary customer contact on status and performance; anticipates and fulfills customer needs.
  • Supports requested Program and Corporate Program Management Excellence reviews and actions to closure.
  • Supports the development of the program Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and long term financial outlook and commits the program to specific financial goals.
  • Works closely with the proposal team for new efforts and out-of-scope efforts.
  • Influence others outside of own job area and senior leadership.
  • Act as empowered authority to accomplish program objectives.

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • 12 Years of experience; preferably in program management.
  • Bachelors degree; preferably in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) or business discipline.
  • Experience managing and overseeing program management tools such as Risk and Opportunity Management, Cost and Schedule Management, and Earned Value Management
An Active in scope DoD Secret security clearance.

Qualifications We Value:
  • Experience working government programs (large/complex) with direct customer interfaces, both internal and external
  • Experience with the USN, NAVSEA, customer community
  • DoD program management experience
  • Earned Value Management Systems certification
  • Program Management certification
  • Technical knowledge of radars & radar production experience
  • Knowledge of International Traffic And Arms (ITAR) & Export Import (EXIM) licensing requirements
  • Experience in Supply Chain Management, Subcontract Management or Operations
  • Experience with managing Risk & Opportunity
  • Strong business acumen, communication, interpersonal skills & ability to influence
  • Experience building, retaining, & leading high performing, geographically diverse functional teams
