Job Description

Come join Intel's Client Engineering Group, responsible for designing Client SoCs that make up more than half of Intel's annual revenue. We envision the future of computing and design for the next generation of laptops and desktop computers.

We are seeking an SoC (System on Chip) DevOps Architect ready to to define and deliver next generation compute solutions for our hardware engineering teams, as we reimagine how to build SoCs at Intel and in the semiconductor industry. This role is within Intel's highly regarded Devices Development Group headquartered in Portland Oregon with additional sites in Austin Texas and Penang Malaysia. Our team requires state of the art computing to execute our projects. The candidate will be responsible for improving and transforming our compute infrastructure such that it is eliminated as a bottleneck in our development cycle. This position is for someone who is passionate to deploy the latest technologies and solve the most challenging problems in the hardware development compute environment.

Your responsibilities may include but not be limited to:

  • Facilitate the development process and operations

  • Collaborate in DevOps channels across the organization to identify opportunities and solve inefficiencies

  • Plan and monitor compute resources

  • Design and deliver efficient practices

  • Manage and review technical operations

  • Provide guidance to the design team

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum skills and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer science, Information systems, or a related field with 7 years of experience OR a Master's degree in those fields with 5 years of experience

  • 3 years of experience with infrastructure management and monitoring

  • Previous experience working in a hardware engineering or similar type of team


Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with and strong knowledge of DevOps and containers

  • Working knowledge of automation service provisioning and middleware configuration

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
