Job Description

Come join Intel's Design Engineering Group, responsible for designing Client SoCs that make up more than half of Intel's annual revenue. We envision the future of computing and design for the next generation of laptops and desktop computers.

We are looking for tool experts to envision, build and maintain next-generation design and validation environments. This role is within Intel's highly regarded Devices Development Group, headquartered in Oregon with additional sites in Texas, and Malaysia. Your responsibilities may include but not be limited to:

  • Influence project execution and methodology while working with both external and internal tool vendors.

  • Envision, develop and deploy next-generation build, run, and flow management environments and systems.

  • Envision, develop and deploy scripts and automations to assist the design and validation teams.

  • Develop, deploy and mentor tool usage methodologies.


The ideal candidate will have the following skills in addition to the qualifications listed below:

  • Be a self-motivator with solid problem-solving skills.

  • Have leadership skills and the willingness to mentor junior engineers interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum skills and experience:

  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering or related degree.

  • 3+ years of experience with deploying hardware design and validation tools.

  • 3+ years developing enterprise-class programs, scripts and systems.

  • Willing to design and test code in Python or Perl.


Preferred skills and experience:

  • AGILE software practices.

  • Experience with Synopsys VCSMX, Spyglass, and VCLP tools.

  • Familiarity with SQL databases and data analysis tools (PowerBI, Splunk, etc.).

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
