About the team:
Youll be part of Advanced Design (AD) within Design Enablement organization (DE). The team works in close collaboration with our partners in process technology and design teams spanning CPU, Graphics, Networking, and Servers. The primary focus of the team is to accurately predict the impact of process changes on density scaling and power, performance metrics through Test Chips. Test chips are based on both Intel IP and external industry standard IP.
About the role:
Performs all aspects of the SoC design flow and High-Speed CPU implementation from synthesis, place and route, timing and power to create a design database that is ready for manufacturing. This includes:
- Power/Performance/Area trade-offs with respect to design optimization
- Floorplanning including trade-offs in Macro placements, Power Grid definition, and integration requirements
- Performs DRC and LVS layout verification activities
- Good knowledge, understanding, and implementation of DFT features (SCAN, MBIST, etc.)
- Good knowledge of Formal Verification and Gate Level Simulation
- May also review vendor capability to support development
Qualifications
Minimum requirements:
BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science with 6+ years of professional work
Or
MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science with 4+ years of professional work.
Professional work experience in the following areas:
- Synopsys or Cadence design (RTL to GDS) tools
- Synopsys-Primetime
- Design for Test (DFT, Scan, JTAG, and debug technologies)
- ICV or Calibre DRC/LVS Layout cleanup
Preferred:
- RTL/Logic design Verilog, VCS, etc.
- Strong analytical ability, problem solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and at various levels of abstraction
- Perl, TCL/Tk programming
- TFM (Tools, Flows, Methodology) Development

$132,940.00-$199,800.00
