Job Description

Come join Intel's Devices Development Group in Pre-Silicon Validation. In this role you will be working as part of a team to verify future Intel hardware designs with a focus on formal methods.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Verification of hardware designs and features using formal methods
  • Learning the architecture and microarchitecture by writing specifications, entering them into verification tools, and debugging failures to the root cause
  • Decomposing problems to fit within the scope of automated formal verification tools
  • Writing plans for verifying portions of a complex microarchitecture using specifications, designs, and verification collateral as a guide
  • Engaging with design and verification teams to define, develop, and deliver necessary infrastructure
  • Developing tools and methods to improve quality and reduce development time


You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences. This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly.     

Minimum Qualifications:
Candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mathematics with 3 years' of experience -OR- a Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mathematics with atleast 1 of the following:

  • Computer programming
  • Hardware design
  • Hardware verification

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Applying formal verification tools and methodologies to hardware designs, especially integrated with a silicon design team
  • Interpreting technical specs and Register Transfer Level (RTL) code
  • Computer architecture
  • System Verilog
  • Debugging complex systems, especially hardware designs

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
