This team focus on designing, validating and delivering all silicon that drives our Xe product roadmap and for improving the energy efficiency of our Xe GPUs. We strive to lead the industry through continuous innovation and world-class engineering. As a member of Power Management team, you will be prototyping low-power solutions for various design blocks.
You will be collaborating with architects, RTL and Platform, and software teams to analyze and implement low-power solutions for next generation Intel GPU products. As a SoC Firmware Design Engineer you will be responsible for development and Post-silicon debug to support microcontroller firmware for a variety of technologies.
This role will
provide the opportunity to use your technical knowledge of firmware
development to deliver IP firmware content for microcontrollers
platform firmware and other execution
environments.
You will help with the
following
responsibilities:
Oversees definition, design, verification, and documentation for SoC (System on a Chip) development.
Determines architecture design, Firmware design, and simulation.
Reading Specifications and interpreting technical specs, Firmware development.
C++ and Advanced SW development skills - Clean Code principles, Software Development.
Experience with firmware patching for debug purposes is a plus.
Low level firmware development including design and implementation of code that interacts directly with hardware
Qualifications
Minimum skills and experience that we are looking for:
You must possess a minimum of Bachelor's degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years of industry experience.
-OR-
Master's in the same field with 1+ years of experience.
Your experience should be in the following:
Post-silicon Firmware debug experience.
Embedded FW development experience in a high-level language (C/C++).
Software development skills (devolvement, validating, testing, debugging, etc.).
Object-Oriented Programming Techniques and scripting tools - using C/C++, Python or Perl.
Preferred skills and experiences that will make you
stand out:
CPU/GPU Architecture.
SoC or platform level power and thermal management.
Silicon debugging experience.
