In this role you will lead power and performance analysis, recommendations, and requirements for Client SOCs and their ingredient intellectual properties.Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Leading SOC performance and power modeling, studies, and analysis Conducting forward looking research and development for next generation Client products Understanding usage models and developing key performance and power indicators and benchmarks Defining, planning, and scoping Client performance modeling, trade studies, and analysis work with predictable well-communicated execution timelines Identifying and characterizing architectural and micro-architectural features to their power and performance impacts Continuously improving power and performance modeling infrastructureBehavioral traits that we are looking for: Problem solving, debugging, multi-tasking, and brainstorming skills Demonstrated collaboration, be inclusive, and influence across a diverse cross-organizational team Self-initiative and persistence, experience with dealing with a high degree of ambiguity and drive clarity in key areas Communication skills, both written and verbal Demonstrated experience with distilling complex ideas into well-articulated and easy-to-understand messages
Qualifications
Master's
or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering,
Computer Science.15+ years of experience in computer and SOC
architecture including leadership experience in the following
areas:- 8+ years of experience with CPU, GPU, or computer system
microarchitecture- 8+ years of experience with the development and
usage of computer system performance models- 8+ years of experience
in Power Management Architecture Preferred Qualifications:- 5+
years of strong programming skills, including experience with C++
(or similar).5+ years of experience in running power and
performance testing/simulation- 5+ years of experience with
computer workload analysis
