The Intel Client Power
Performance and Firmware Architecture group is seeking a candidate
to develop Analysis Tools for Power Management for Next-Generation,
Leading Edge Client SOC products. The team develops Active and Idle
Power Management Architecture and Microarchitecture to enhance SOC
Workload Performance and drive Battery Life targets, and defines
On-Die Resource Management to unleash IP-Level
capabilities.
The qualified candidate will
develop Power Management Analysis Tools which will be utilized for
Silicon-Level Debug and Characterization of SOC Workloads for
Performance and Power Efficiency. The candidate may
opportunistically also own Power management definition at Subsystem
levels from Product Definition phases through Post-Silicon
enabling, working with Firmware, Logic Design, and Validation teams
to ensure quality in implementation and
productization.
In this role,
responsibilities include (but not limited
to):
Develops Analysis tools to evaluate and debug complex features and ensures that software and hardware designs interface correctly
Designs framework for particular functions.
Defines, documents and tests processes for inclusion into technical platforms, subsystem specifications, input/output and working parameters for hardware and/or software compatibility.
Identifies, analyzes and resolves subsystem and/or SoC design weaknesses.
Improves health of current generation product and Influences the shaping of future products
Provides multilayered technical expertise for next generation initiatives.
Qualifications
You
must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially
considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in
addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus
factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would
be obtained through a combination of your school
work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or
internship experiences.
Minimum
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in
Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering with 2+ years
of
experience.
-OR-
Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering.
-OR-
PhD
in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering.
Experience should in the following
areas:
CPU and Computer Architecture
Software Programming/ Scripting: Python, C/ C++
Preferred
Qualifications:
Experience in RTL-level Logic Design and Validation
Experience in PnP (power estimation and projections, post silicon correlation, architectural tradeoffs)
Experience in Power Management
