We are looking to hire a Software Development Engineer in Test who:

• Combine their knowledge of the system and testing instinct to determine where to focus testing resources across conflicting yet essential areas of the Developer cloud platform.
• Creates and updates testing frameworks as necessary to support test automation.
• Determines best testing strategy and creates appropriate functional, scale, stress, and other performance tests.
• Works closely with different business units and cross-functional teams to replicate and debug hard-to-troubleshoot issues.
• Develops complex test programs and test automation frameworks, and participates in general testing activities as required.
• Works closely with the development and DevOps teams to identify new automation opportunities.
• Designs and implements test tools across different cloud services
• Designs, implements, and improves quality practices across functional and non-functional testing

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Experience listed below would be obtained through relevant previous school, industry jobs and/or research experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 5+ years experience as a Test Engineer
• Proficient in an RDBMS, such as MYSQL
• Knowledgeable in testing methodologies and frameworks
• Possession of "tester mentality" (great written / oral communication skills, attention to detail, and the love of breaking things or tearing things apart)
• Knowledge of agile principles
• Strong programming skills and experience (one or more of Go, Python, Javascript, Java)
• Fundamental understanding of virtualization and containerization technologies: Docker, Kubernetes, VMs
• Understanding Continuous Integration processes and test management and source control tools such as Git, Jenkins, Jira, and Test rail
• Knowledge of Microservices, Node, Angular and React.js
• Needs to be able to do hands-on testing

Preferred Qualifications:

• Masters degree or PHD in Computer Science or equivalent
• Experience working with High-Performance Distributed Computing Systems (server and serverless).
• Experience with modern and advanced automation techniques, like self-service, keyword, scriptless, or BDD frameworks.
• Proven track record of building and delivering enterprise-class products.
• Experience in the delivery of AI capability in an automation framework is a plus.
• Have a passion for testing, technology, and innovation combined with experience working with public cloud platforms
• A desire to continue to develop both personally and professionally
