Researches, designs, develops, and optimizes software tools that enable the use of Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA). Develops and optimizes compilers, flows, assemblers, models, tools, runtimes, and/or firmwares that are closely coupled to FPGA silicon, IP, and boards, while leveraging strong knowledge of FPGA hardware, logic design, board design, semiconductor devices, and chip layout. Designs, develops, and optimizes software abstractions and frameworks for acceleration with the FPGA for domains such as deep learning, DSP algorithms, or data analytics. Responds to customer/client requests or events as they occur.
Qualifications
You
must possess the minimum qualifications to be initially considered
for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the
minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in
identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be
obtained through a combination of your schoolwork/classes/research
and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences. This is
an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly.
Minimum
Requirements:
Education:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical
Engineering, Computer Science or related
field.
4+ years of software development experience in one or more software programming/scripting languages such as C/C++, Java, Python, Perl, Tcl, etc. (MSCE/MSEE with 2+ years of experience will also be considered).
Preferred
Qualifications:
Masters Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
Experience in software development of Electronic Design Automation tools.
Experience with data-structures/algorithms.
Experience with RTL using Verilog/VHDL/System Verilog.
Experience with FPGA architecture and tools.
Experience with the build process/makefiles.
Experience with version control systems like Perforce, CVS, or Git in Unix/Linux environment.

Work Model for this Role
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
