The Microsoft Technology Center (MTC) within the Software and Advanced Technologies Group (SATG) is searching for energetic and passionate OS Software Engineers.
In this
position, you will contribute to architecture, optimization,
analysis, and debug of operating system software enhancements for
operating systems and virtualization products ranging from small
form factor devices to high end desktops. You will have opportunity
to work with engineering and architecture leads from the product
groups at Intel and other partners to help define and enable the
next generation technologies to be competitive in performance and

Your
Responsibilities will
include:
Working and learnings will extend into other solutions including end customer and making the most of virtualization technology for security and performance. This will involve performance and responsiveness optimizations and feature enhancements to support Intel's microprocessors, chipsets, and platforms.
Reviewing and enabling processor and platform features for virtualization products.
Analyzing and evaluating system and processor performance for current systems and future Intel processors and platforms.
Defining and driving processor and platform features and architecture definition into future Intel processors and platforms.
The successful candidate will have:
Performance analysis and/or virtualization development/enabling work experience.
Solid analytical and problem solving capabilities with solid collaboration skills and prefers working in a team.

Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. This Position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field and 4+ years of relevant work experience as listed directly below.
OR
Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field and 3+ years of relevant work experience as listed directly below.
OS kernel or device driver development (Linux or Windows preferred) and
OS kernel debugging.

Annual Salary
Range for jobs which could be performed in US,
Colorado:
$149,020.00-$223,560.00

Work Model for this Role
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
