Job Description

 The System Simulation and Modeling (SSM) team is part of Intel's Software and Advanced Technology (SATG) group. We are transforming the way our client and server products are architected,  firmware and software for the architecture are developed, integrated, and simulated in a state-of-the-art cloud computing environment. We build best-in-class system simulators that serve as the foundation for building our critical products. We are looking for strong engineering with computer engineering and/or computer science background ready to engage in next generation of architecture, software development and modeling. We are looking for  candidates who can work across and optimize across domains including architecture, software development, integration and validation and shape our product roadmap. The role is for a systems engineer who can fearlessly work across the hardware/software boundaries and optimize the entire system as a whole.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Understanding architecture of products and creating models for them using our best-in-class simulator.
  • Understanding firmware development and integration of the firmware and software on the simulator
  • Software development and automation, driving initiatives and projects from concept through implementation and deployment, system debug and support
  • Exercising judgment and discretion to develop solutions, remove obstacles and redefine approaches
  • Assess risks and identify efficient approaches to deliver high quality solutions in timely manner
  • Globally optimizing the problems across hardware and software boundaries

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's with 8+ years  or Masters with 5+ years degree in Computer Science or Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or Physics or Mechanical Engineering or Mathematics or related technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of actively developing in C or C++  or  Python or similar languages.
  • 2+ years of Computer Architecture knowledge of computer systems including multicore CPUs or GPUs, memory subsystem or  interconnects or IO devices.
  • 2+ years of experience with modern computer operating systems (Linux or Windows).
  • 3+ years of working in software development teams using team collaboration tools for repository storage, testing, issues and project tracking.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ph. D. in Computer Science or Computer/Electrical Engineering or relevant engineering field.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Colorado:
$148,930.00-$238,410.00

Work Model for this Role

This role is available as fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need.
