Job Description

GTRI’s Cybersecurity, Information Protection, and Hardware Evaluation Research (CIPHER) Lab is looking for student assistants to start Fall 2018. Student Assistants will work closely with researchers to produce high quality automated systems. These systems work with very large data sets, integrate expert systems and machine learning techniques and participate in internal R&D (IRAD) associated with advanced machine learning techniques to solve cybersecurity and/or intelligence analysis problems.

Required Minimum Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Physics, or Electrical Engineering
  • Must be registered for at least 6 credit hours with your university
  • Must have a 3.0 or higher GPA

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in 1 or more programming languages: Python, Java, C languages, R
  • Task / team leadership experience
  • Strong math skills and ability to learn complex engineering concepts
  • Familiarity with Linux and open source tools
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical ideas

Hours per Week

10–20 hours per week
