Manages a team of software development engineers and architects responsible for creating tools, flows, methodologies, and automation used by either external engineers or internal engineers on development, design, test, or manufacturing teams. Oversees software development across the lifecycle including requirements gathering, design, development, debug, validation, optimization, customer engagement, and/or product support. Provides architectural and technical guidance and ensure that sound engineering practices are followed. Provides direction and goals to the group and interacts with stakeholders both internal and external. Sets priorities for the team, achieves results across boundaries, ensures an inclusive work environment, develops employees, and manages performance.

Minimum
qualifications are required to be initially considered for this
position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum
requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top
candidates.
Minimum
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in
Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or
Physics or math or SW Engineering or Scientific computing or other
related technical
discipline
3+ years of experience in C/C++, object-oriented programming
Strong communication skills, including an ability to break down complex issues into concise and accurate summaries.
Operating Systems (OS) fundamentals
Computer Architecture knowledge
Preferred
Qualifications:
Experience with performance tools and methodologies
Virtualization and Containers: Hyper-V, KVM, Linux, VMware, Docker or Kubernetes
Tools such as IDES, Git, GitHub, Jira and/or Wikis
Knowledge of x86 instruction set architecture and Advanced Vector Extensions (AVX)
Experience with vectorization and parallel programming models such as OpenMP and/or SYCL and/or GPU programming

Work Model for this Role
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
