The Open Source Graphics Center is responsible for developing Linux drivers and technology for Intel's Graphics/Compute products. * Contribute toward the release of industry-leading features for Intel's integrated and discrete graphics/compute products.
* You will have the opportunity to work directly with open source communities and across business units within Intel.
* Plans/manages both programs and projects that are directly tied to the development, implementation or upgrade of technology or products for external customers.
* Provides leadership for the project team and functions as the key interfaces to the project or program and to senior management.
* Works on problems/tasks in delivery of a specific product or service and removes obstacles and redefine approaches to ensure success.
* Identify tasks, determine dependencies, identify and assign specific resources, communicate expectations to team members, obtain task effort and duration estimates from team members, and create/track the project schedule.
* Work with the Engineering teams, to plan and execute projects, ensuring that teams have appropriate product and technical specifications, direction, and resources to deliver projects effectively.
* Assess risk, identify issues, and proactively define remedial actions and solutions to timely efficient achievement of program goals while ensuring quality standards and budget constraints are met.
* Creates, tracks, adjusts the program schedule to ensure all projects and swim-lane efforts are successfully coordinated into a holistic solution.
* Work with internal and external teams to establish realistic estimates and timelines, while supporting continuous monitoring and mentoring to help ensure that projects remain on target to meet deadlines.
* Defining and delivering indicators on progress to management and senior leadership.
* Ensure that programs align with the appropriate Intel policies.
* Collaborate with Product Owners defining the Product Vision and roadmaps.
* Work with the project team identifying and planning key Program milestones.
* Monitor Project health providing weekly updates on key Program milestones.
* Provide leadership and guidance to coach, motivate, and guide team members on optimum project planning and execution.



Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field with 6+ years of related experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

6+ years of experience in the following:

* Program Management experience working in complex projects
* Working in large scale software product development teams and projects
* A willingness to work in a diverse team environment and with others in cross-site organizations
* Working knowledge in the software engineering development lifecycle process for Linux
* Previous experience using program management methodologies for Requirements, Scheduling, Integration, Cost, Quality and Risk.
* Must be a team player, with a demonstrated experience technically influencing others.
* Willing to effectively communicate with and influence executives and senior technical leaders.
* Software Engineering Processes and Methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
* Proficient in project management tools and applications (MsProject, Excel, JIRA)
* Leadership and decision-making skills.
* Analytical planning and problem-solving skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills including listening skills.
* Willing to independently monitor Program status and escalate when there are issues or features are at risk of not being delivered.
^ Willing to operate in ambiguous environments and work across organizational boundaries

Preferred Qualifications:
(Having one or more of the following qualifications is Preferred)
* Project Management Professional (PMP), Program Management Professional (PgMP) or equivalent Program Management Certifications.
* Master's degree or Ph.D. in Software Engineering, Computer Science Engineering or Electrical/Electronics Engineering.
* Experience in driving complex integrations and to co-ordinate across teams and workstreams.
* Experience in analytical planning problem solving and decision-making skills in complex paradigms.
* Debugging and system integration skills
* Familiarity with Linux Operating system architecture and device driver model
* Familiarity with Linux kernel open source contributions and practices
* Experience architecting overall end-to-end Linux solutions
* Familiarity with Linux DRM subsystem and graphics/compute SW stack
* Familiarity with Graphics subsystem and Linux graphics components
* Familiarity with HPC, AI and/or ML software
* Familiarity with scalable MPI applications

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
