Logic Technology
Development (LTD), Resolution Enhancement Techniques (RET) is
responsible for the research, development and implementation of RET
for nanoscale process technologies. Investigates potential
inventions typically 2 to 4 years prior to being applied to a
product.
As a Software Research
Engineer/Scientist in this team your job scope includes models and
software to perform layout correction for high resolution
reproduction on wafers. Applies software engineering methods,
theories and research in the investigation and solution of
technical RET problems.
In this job
responsibilities will include but will not be limited
to:
Defines and selects new approaches and implementation of RET software engineering applications, design specifications and parameters.
Maintains substantial knowledge of state of the art principles and theories in lithography, optics, resists, modeling, and software engineering.
Contributes to scientific literature, conferences, and the development of intellectual property.
Coordinates interdepartmental activities and research efforts.
Interact with both Very large-scale integration (VLSI) design and silicon process technology development, and mask making communities to ensure solutions are optimal.
Additionally,
can use predictive modeling, statistics, machine learning, data
mining, and other data analysis techniques to collect, explore,
visualize, and to develop software algorithms and applications to
compensate for empirical effects in photolithography imaging and
etch pattern transferal process.

This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly.
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience would be obtained through a combination of prior education level classes, and current level school classes, projects, research, and relevant previous job and internship experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
Candidate must possess a Ph.D. degree in Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering; Mathematics, Optics, Nano-Engineering, Materials Science, Physics or related Scientific Discipline.
-Candidate must have 1+ years of experience at least in one of the following qualifications (having more than one will be preferred):
Experience in mathematics, including algebra, linear algebra, calculus, statistical packages (JMP, MATLAB)
Experience Design of Experiments (DOE) Techniques.
Experience in C++ Programming or Python scripting,
Preferred Qualifications:
6+ months of experience in the following:
Linux/Unix environments.
Computational simulation.
Semiconductor fabrication, Nano-Lithography.
Algorithm development.
Nanometrology (e.g. Scanning Electron Microscopy, Atomic Force Microscopy, etc.)
Image Processing, Geometric and Fourier optics.

Work Model for this Role
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
