We are seeking highly qualified Software Validation Test Engineers to join our world class Ethernet Product Group (EPG) under Connectivity Group. We assure and deliver leadership Ethernet products that delight our customers with best-in-class performance, quality, and support. You will join a best-in-class validation team relentlessly driving the highest quality of EPG products with the most optimal cost via continuous improvement, learning and product mindset.

In this role, your daily agenda will be anything but ordinary. On a regular basis, it will include but not limited to:

  • Performing network product testing, documentation, writing and executing automation scripts, and analysis of software applications.
  • Validation of network drivers on various operating systems across Linux, Windows, FreeBSD, ESXi on a variety of foundational and smart NIC products.
  • Reviewing and analyzing the requirement documents to understand the product.
  • Reviewing technical documentation to understand the requirements for the features of a component.
  • Decompose the feature into the set of steps required to validate it, write the test cases and test plans.
  • Executing test plans and test cases.
  • Executing automation scripts, understand and report results, identify automation opportunities and develop new automation scripts in python.
  • Solid problem solving skills and apply them to perform thorough debug of the systems to assist in the problem identification and resolution.
  • Working alongside software development and hardware teams to analyze and debug software or hardware issues.
  • Using agile software development methodologies in the software development life cycle.
  • Configuring PCs and add and remove add-in cards


Candidates must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Requirements listed below would be obtained through a combination of Industry job relevant experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.

Minimum Required Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or in a related field of study

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 6+ months of experience with Network Drivers and general networking knowledge
  • 1+ years of experience in software development process and testing methodologies
  • 1+ years of experience with Scripting languages such as; Python scripting or object oriented design/programming
  • 1+ years of experience with various testing tools such as packet analyzers etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master preferred
  • ML/AI experience or school work
