As a Software Validation Engineer, you are responsible for the validation and debug of device driver software, tool and applications through the design and development of software validation environments. Develops and debugs test firmware to verify and program device drivers. Responsible for the creation of validation plans and associated methodologies, as well as debugging failures. Writes validation standards and procedures, analyzes the results to ensure correct functionality, determines root causes of failures, and recommends or develops corrective action. Assesses the state of the art and employs new methods to improve quality and product release efficiency.

Qualifications

Candidates must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Requirements listed below would be obtained through a combination of Industry job relevant experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.

Minimum Education:

Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, Math, Physics, or related field

Minimum Require Qualifications

3+ years of experience in validation and debug of software

3+ years of experience with scripting languages like Python

3+ years of experience with software testing and test methodology functional integration regression or performance testing

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree.
