Job Description

The Client Platform Solutions (CPS) team under CCG's Windows Systems and Software (WSS) organization is seeking an experienced and highly motivated software validation technologist with a passion for quality. CPS team focuses on the architecture, design, development, integration, and validation of multiple products/solutions that optimizes the power/performance of client platforms as well as introduces new end user experiences through context awareness and AI/ML algorithms. In this role, you will be responsible for architecting world-class validation and automation strategies, processes, methodologies, and solutions in order to deliver multiple industry leading software solutions and technologies on Intel's client platforms. The position requires technical acumen, innovation, communicating complex solutions, and collaborating with partner organizations and customers. We're a best-in-class validation team that is relentlessly driving the highest quality of CCG products.

Responsibilities include but not limited to

  • Influence the validation strategy, direction, processes, and methodologies across multiple technologies and products with a quality focused mindset

  • Define and standardize a high-level software validation strategy across all our products, including developing a strategy for validating AI/ML technologies.

  • Establish cutting edge validation practices. Including, but not limited to, effective debug approaches, agile validation methodologies, test case development, and automation strategies.

  • Provide technical leadership to validation engineers including mentoring and guiding validation engineers and key stakeholders in their technical growth and ability to produce trust-worthy, accelerated, and efficient results.

  • Provide technical expertise and identify technical gaps for timely resolution on high priority issues across all products.


Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with a minimum of 9+years of experience, or

  • Master's degree in Computer Science with a minimum of 7+ years of experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in software validation and debugging

  • 5+ yrs in technical leadership roles

  • Windows OS development experience

  • Experience with CI/CD and Agile practices

  • Knowledge of Intel platform architecture, CPU/SoC architecture.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent programming skills in: C/C++, C#, or Python

  • 4+ yrs experience developing either Windows, Linux, Chrome OS test automation

  • Experience in power/thermal management.

  • Experience with Thermal characterization/tuning on form-factor systems.

  • Experience in developing software validation strategies and methodologies, test development, debugging, data analysis, and resolving issues

  • Experience in platform debugging and a solid understanding of BIOS, Embedded Controller, ACPI, Kernel and User mode drivers.
