Lockheed Martin is seeking a Special Communications Electronics Engineer for Fayetteville, NC

Position requires in-depth knowledge of U.S. Army, Joint, Inter-Agency, and Special Operations Forces (SOF) HUMINT and Special Operations communications technology, related equipment, de-confliction and coordination procedures, capabilities and techniques.

Assist in research and development activities to support special communications solutions for supporting HUMINT, Special Operations related requirements. Assist in the development of HUMINT, Special Operations communications architectures, tailoring equipment and systems to support critical geographic areas of interest. Assist in system testing, evaluation of principles, methods, and tools to support employment and execution of systems. Responsible for assisting in the preparation and presentation of reports and findings, requirements, and recommendations to government representatives as required.

Supports special communications training, technical support, operational support, and research support to military personnel including but not limited to establishing, developing, and conducting training, training support, assisting in training schedules, executing training events, providing back-side support for training events, recording and tracking training data, researching intelligence reports, researching technical data on both current and emerging systems, establishing and maintaining a database for training aids

Supports section meetings as required to provide expertise, advice, and guidance regarding standard and non-standard HUMINT Special Operations communications TTP’s and training requirements. Identifies potential problem areas in training, de-confliction and approval process, and system employment and makes recommendations to program leadership. Supports training events

Maintains professional knowledge on Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) equipment and technological advances including but not limited to Wi-Fi, internet, cellular 3G and 4G LTE technologies, Over The Horizon (OTH) Networks such as VSATs and BGAN, web development as well as threats and vulnerabilities associated with these types of systems in order to recommend methods to enhance training and operations, through modification and application of evolving technology. Supports in the concept development necessary to policies for significantly new or precedent setting requirements

Supports working groups created to resolve existing problems ensure interoperability and develop programs requiring innovative solutions. Interface with commercial contractors, DoD and interagency to explore technology applications and initiate supporting studies, as required. Upon completion of new programs, assists in the technical assessments, and provides recommendations concerning quality, acceptability, and the need for change or improvements

Perform all aspects of technical supply management work (e.g., inventory management, storage management, cataloging, property utilization) related to depot, local, or other supply activities.

Extensive knowledge from past experience developing and advising supervisors on Special Operations communications documentation and supporting systems and programs. Experience and knowledge providing support to government POC’s for planning and acquiring support for Special Operations communications missions.

Performs cyber analysis queries on appropriate systems to identify threats against currently fielded solutions. Develop systematic plans to alleviate identified threats or recommend alternative solutions to the problem set. Share information with all equities that may be affected

Basic Qualifications
The contractor must have a base skill or understanding of the following:
Current special communications tools and systems in use throughout USSOCOM. Understanding the functions of system based equipment within the Section network as they apply to requirements. Technical knowledge of SOF TTPs and their application to unit training and requirements. Technical knowledge of Information and Technical system characteristics. Familiarity with the military customer’s operations and requirements. Familiarity with the SOF TTPs is crucial in understanding deficiencies and the corrective measures to implement
Preference for a Special Operations veteran that has extensive experience working in Special Operations Communications. This extensive tactical experience ensures an understanding of the critical nature of SOF TTP’s and will place the proper emphasis on quality support both operationally and administratively. Individual must also have significant Special Operations communications experience, as well as a thorough understanding of special communications interagency de-confliction process. This is essential to ensure individual is prepared to meet the requirements of the military customer

This position requires a Top Secret Clearance
