We are currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join the Radar Receiver Exciter Integrated Product Team in Tewksbury, MA. This team designs, develops, integrates, and tests the Radar Receiver Exciter hardware for the combat proven RMD integrated air and missile defense systems.
The Receiver, Exciter, and Signal Processing (RESP) Department is the focal point for receiver, exciter, beam steering, and signal processing technology in the RMD division. The department is responsible for the design, development, integration, support to production builds, and lifecycle support of RMD products.
This position is for a multi-disciplined Senior Engineer I or Senior Engineer II, capable of solving complex technical problems and providing highly innovative and ingenious solutions in the areas of Radio Frequency (RF) and Microwave sub-systems design/integration. Experience with data analysis using MATLAB is required. Experience with Radar Receiver/Exciter sub-systems as well as sub-system interfaces is preferred. Responsibilities include performing detailed analysis on sub-system data to determine compliance and drive architectural improvements as well as deploying tactical software and advanced analysis tools to enhance test capability and streamline requirement verification for Distributed Receiver/Exciter (DREX) systems and components. The candidate must have demonstrated the ability to apply advanced technical principles, theories and concepts. In addition, the successful candidate will be expected to mentor less experienced engineers.

The Senior Radar System Electrical Engineer will be expected to perform the following:
- Resolve complex technical issues seen during design, integration, and test of Radar Receiver and Exciter sub-systems
- Analyze and assess Radar Receiver/Exciter level data
- Provide input based on data analysis on design improvements and changes at subsystem level
- Develop data analysis toolsets to be used across various system platforms
- Integrate hardware with firmware and software
- Support complete DREX infrastructures from sub Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) components through LRUs, Radar Module Assemblies (RMAs), and up to system performance
- Provide input and support to production test of REX modules and sub-assemblies
- Minimum of 4 years of experience
- Experience analyzing and assessing large quantities of data using MATLAB
- Experience in the test and troubleshoot of digital and mixed signal circuits
- Experience in simulation, integration, test and analysis of complex systems and sub-systems
- Ability to acquire a DOD secret clearance
Required Education
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering or scientific discipline. Advanced degree desirable.
- Outstanding academic credentials
- Multi-discipline engineering experience
- Software experience with java, C++, Python
- Experience with Digital Signal Processing techniques and FPGA implementation
- Experience in both development and engineering production support
- Experience in radar receiver/exciter design
- Experience testing and troubleshooting RF and Microwave component/subsystem such as up-converters, down converters, power amplifiers, and waveform generators
- Experience integrating hardware with firmware and software
