Are you a power and performance (PnP) expert who thrives on identifying and solving complex system level issues? Do you like working with a team of architects that may challenge your current thinking?In this role, you will have the opportunity to engage with key external partners and customers, both from an operating system as well as a hardware perspective, to influence future products. You will develop new innovative features to increase battery life and performance on the latest generation of PC platforms, collaborating closely with internal CPU and platform architects and design engineers to implement unique Intel specific features. You will have the opportunity to develop your in-depth technical understanding of PC hardware and software to further optimize PnP. This role works with our architects to define PnP workloads, metrics, measurement methodology and platform projections and works across organizational boundaries to articulate solutions to senior management and to external parties.Our roles also provide an excellent opportunity to develop cutting edge features for graphics, multimedia, and low-power domains, in close collaboration with the operating system vendor and customers. Qualifications
You
must possess the minimum qualifications to be initially considered
for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the
minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in
identifying top candidates.
Minimum
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or higher in
Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or
similar technical STEM degree
6+ years of
industry experience
4+ years of experience with
the following:
C/C++ programming
Power and Performance (PnP)
OS experience either on
Windows, Linux or Chrome
Preferred
Qualifications:
In addition to the minimum requirements,
three plus years of experience with any of the following:
Technical leadership experience and decision-making skills
with ability to influence a large technical team
Experience designing innovative solutions to complex
problems
Experience with technical concepts,
architecture, systems, development methods, and disciplines
associated with defined projects, applies that knowledge to
deliverables, and leverages it to accelerate project
completion
Working with teams across different
Geos
Hands-on skills in one of the following domains:
kernel feature development, firmware development, validation,
integration, debugging, or PnP optimization.
Knowledge
of computer architecture
Agile teams
Computer
architecture
Power management and/or performance
frameworks, including debug
analysis

Work Model for this Role
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
