ADP is hiring for a Senior Principal Data Steward for the HR Outsourcing Operations Service Technology Team to build and execute a holistic data strategy to strengthen our data governance and enhance our ability to provide reporting and insights to HRO. The Sr Principal will operate across all HRO businesses to gain alignment, drive common data practice, and form a cohesive data and product strategy. The Sr Principal must have the ability to identify and prioritize the work needed to consolidate many disparate data sources into a single reporting platform, as well as refine any existing data fields in current product. In addition to these responsibilities, the Sr Principal will work closely with our Global Product team to understand any current corporate data strategies and ensure tight alignment across all platforms with GSO and data security standards. There will be a deep focus on cleansing any necessary data in order to provide more powerful and dependable reporting to HRO leaders and teams.


Responsibilities Skills and responsibilities for this management level include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for executing a data strategy roadmap for HRO
  • Accountability and responsibility for data and processes that ensure effective control and use of data assets
  • Partner tightly with all business leaders to gain a deeper understanding of current reporting challenges and help build a cohesive vision that will deliver dependable and insightful reporting
  • Work with leaders to identify key metrics to measure their business success. Implement a governance strategy to keep that data clean and reliable.
  • Analyze complex ideas, business cases and organizational issues and build meaningful recommendations leading to the development of a strategy and roadmap for execution
  • Identify and remove any current noise in our multiple data sources -- including optimizing product input points.
  • Partner closely with our BI&A team to identify current data and reporting challenges
  • Ability to simplify complex concepts and summarize key points

Technical Skills:

  • Workfront or other Project Management software
  • Salesforce experience
  • Deep understanding of reporting, metrics, and data that fuels a successful business model
  • SQL
  • Advanced skills working with data and using data to create meaningful insights


Other Key Experience:

  • Previous experience leading initiatives or managing teams
  • Proven ability to work independently
  • Experience in presenting to senior leaders
  • Desire to grow within an organization
  • Collaborating with business leaders to identify improvement opportunities and answer key strategic questions
  • Ability to maintain cooperative working relationships with all levels of the organization



  • Preference given to MBA; Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Information Systems or related area in lieu of MBA
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in a technical or financial capacity such as Product Management, Transformation, Support or Strategy.
