Description:
The
Systems Architecture and Engineering team is looking for an
outstanding engineer and technical leader to lead a team to drive
the next generation computer system architecture. The industry
predicts that by 2025 the world would be generating of the order of
approximately 175ZB of data, 200T Transactions/day and all of this
needs to be fully protected; regardless of where the data is
resident - in the cloud, edge or in-between. Performance per dollar
and performance per vCPU are all key metrics that need improvement
while maintaining Scalability, Consistency, Ease of Use and TCO as
top priorities. The team that this leader collaborates with will be
multi-disciplinary and focus on thinking from tops-down looking at
workloads, benchmarks, standards and offloads while arriving at an
innovative systems architecture. The leader is expected to not only
closely collaborate with the team in the Office of Technology, but
also with our partner Business Units and Top customers to create
solutions that we in Intel can win.
In this
systems architecture role, you will:
Provide vision and
strategic leadership in the Systems Technologies area in the Office
of CTO
Identify System Architecture trends driven by
emerging use cases, workloads and
customer
collaborations
Define and propose
pathfinding projects to identify IP (HW and SW) across all of
Intel's Data Center
portfolio to create better-together
solutions
Lead and mentor senior technical leaders and
Engineers in the extended orgs to deliver projects
Work
with BU execs and counterparts to drive capabilities and features
into products
To be most effective in this role,
you will:
Command broad systems architecture knowledge and
demonstrate strong technical leadership in
the areas of
computer architecture, data center engineering, modern trends in
software
programmatic models.
Facilitate close
collaboration with diverse disciplines and teams - working through
ambiguity, strong
communication skills, and ability to
influence are
essential.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical
Engineering, or
similar field of study.
10+ years of diverse systems architecture, design,
verification, hardware and/or firmware, and
implementation experience.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a lead Platform
and/or System Architect.
Technical breadth spanning
Systems, Platform, Memory sub-systems, Storage sub-systems,
CPU
interconnects and fabrics, and networking and System
architectures.
Ability to understand customer workloads,
applications and benchmarks and map innovations to
software consumption models.
Comfortable working
across organizational boundaries
Comfortable speaking to
technical leadership and executives - able to distill complex
topics to
senior executives concisely.
Knowledge about the datacenter and client ecosystems and
competitive landscape.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which

$219,360.00-$394,800.00
