Are you a
program manager passionate about product and system software and
looking to make exponential impact? Do you love working on highly
dynamic, cross functional initiatives?
This is
an exciting opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a newly
formed program management office within the Software Architecture
and Technology Group. We are seeking highly skilled and motivated
program managers to lead cross-organizational product and system
software programs that deliver value in optimizing key customer
workloads across the full stack from pre-silicon simulation and
firmware up to orchestration and application frameworks while also
maximizing the software experience for developers and end
users.
What you will be
doing:
- You will be responsible for the successful delivery of product and reference software programs, leading and collaborating with highly matrixed and geographically dispersed teams across Intel in planning, building, and delivering quality software capabilities. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Partner with planning and engineering teams to develop engineering commits and execution plans from high level requirements.
- Establishing first-level technical domain expertise in your project(s)
- Tracking progress to plan and serving as primary point of contact for cross-organizational stakeholders
- Coordinating interdependencies across projects and programs
- Identifying, tracking, and developing mitigation plans for program issues and risks
- Contributing to
development of program management processes and
methodologies
Skills and Attributes - The program manager must have deep experience in product or system software program management gained through managing large and complex software projects and programs and must have the following:
- Proven software development program management experience below the application layer, not including enterprise software program management such as in IT or cloud-based application development.
- Knowledge and application of program management methodology and techniques
- Excellent communication skills and proven ability to influence without authority across diverse audiences.
- Team first mindset
- Effectively manage against tight deadlines and competing priorities
- Strong understanding of modern product software development lifecycle and software deliverables below the application layer, as well as developer experience.
Qualifications
You
must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially
considered for this position Preferred qualifications are in
addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus
factor in identifying top candidates
Minimum
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with 8+ years or Masters with 6+ years of experience
- 7 + years of demonstrated knowledge with SDLC
- 7+ years of productized software program management experience, not enterprise software program management such as IT
This position is not eligible for an Intel immigration sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Program management or related fields PMP, Agile or equivalent certification
- Experience in open-source software development
- Experience with Jira or other modern requirements management tools
- Competency with Agile and DevOps methodologies
- Experience in Software development, validation methods, and/or software quality release processes
- Technical understanding of Intel platforms and software

Annual Salary
Range for jobs which could be performed in US,
Colorado:
$130,190.00-$221,610.00

Work Model for this Role
This role is available as fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need.
