The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of Infrastructure and product initiatives as an integral part of the Ariba Cloud Operations team. In this high-impact position you will work closely with cross functional stakeholders and management to set goals focused on driving requirements gathering and planning against agreed upon delivery dates. You will bring a level of thought leadership for consistency, integrity and intensity into strategic project scoping, initiation, planning, implementation and execution. You are detail-oriented and able to understand the bigger picture by using your technical expertise and sharp problem solving abilities to prioritize and manage blocking issues.



  • Manage highly visible strategic projects for Cloud Operations
  • Lead cross functional teams consisting of team members within Operations (Production Operations, Sysadmin, DBA, Network Administrators, Tools) and beyond Operations (Support, Development, QA, Product Management, Legal, Finance)
  • Provide executive management and stakeholders with timely status updates
  • Establish collaborative relationships with stakeholders, manage and control changes to a project by working with stakeholders
  • Identify the critical path of a project to assess and mitigate risks for meeting the project timeline
  • Work with the security team for security audit and certification
  • Mentor and coach Operations & Development engineers on project management best practices



  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience with managing infrastructure operations, software development or IT-related projects
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with developing and strategic planning for hosting mission critical business applications
  • Experience with various systems development life cycle models such as Agile Scrum or iterative development models.
  • Experience with MS Project, Smartsheet, JIRA & Confluence
  • Experience with developing multi-million dollar budgets
  • Experience with planning and designing a Disaster Recovery process, and managing the disaster simulation testing
  • Good understanding of data security standards
  • Experience with global datacenter planning and expansions
