You will be responsible for working not only cross SATG, but cross Intel, to ensure we have robust requirements and plans to build leadership products tuned to end users, developers, and critical workloads.

This role:
Leads a highly matrixed team composed of managers and technical leads that are directly tied to the development, implementation or upgrade of technology or products for external customers. Manages Projects or programs where consistent decisions are made regarding the overall goals and objectives of significant programs or segments of the organization. Manages interdependencies and integration among multiple projects, teams, and stakeholders. Has decision making authority at the program level. Sets direction for programs by determining and balancing the technical need vs business impact of project/program decisions and operates within the guardrails. Is the key interface with stakeholders and leadership internally. Exercises judgment and discretion to develop solutions, remove obstacles and redefine approaches. Oversees identification of tasks and research, dependencies, costs; communicates expectations to core team members. Creates/tracks/adjusts the program schedule. Assesses risks and identifies solutions to timely, efficient achievement of program goals. Ensures that quality standards and budget constraints are met. Ensures appropriate progress against schedule and takes remedial action as appropriate. Prioritizes utilization of resources with other functions. Influences business unit or cross-organizational strategies relevant to program goals. Has an understanding of the technical concepts, architecture, systems, development methods, and disciplines associated with the defined program.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manages the software program deliverables and milestones (not the people).

  • Develops processes and methodologies to ensure the success of a complex program, including but not limited to product and release planning, identification of milestones and program, goals, creation of schedules, and tracking of all items to ensure successful program delivery.

  • Drives creation and execution of the program Plan of Record, including Scope, Requirements Management, Success Criteria, Schedule, Resources, and Quality. Responsible for stakeholder management, including coordination of departmental or cross-functional/cross-organizational teams as well as communication within the organization, outward to other internal groups and external customers.

  • Works closely with the Microsoft Technology Center (MTC) team and Microsoft to enable Intel platform support in the Windows OS, and other Microsoft tools and services.

  • Acts as a single program voice. Strong understanding of software deliverables.

  • Broad background in product development and deep technical understanding of Intel platforms

  • Familiarity with Gladius principles, UPLC milestones and its governances

  • Breadth of understanding of Intel architecture, software from firmware through virtualization and container all the way to 3rd party application and ecosystem work

  • Familiarity with Intel development infrastructure tools and best in class methods of insight generation through power BI and other tools.

  • Understanding and experience with program management fundamentals and methodologies

  • Technical understanding of Intel Platforms and software stack

  • The ability to meet tight deadlines, multi-task and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment

  • Team player - puts team success before personal success

  • Consistent track record having worked as a Program or Project Manager

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline and 6+ years of relevant work experience; OR Master's degree in  Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline and 4+ years of relevant work experience; OR PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline and 2+ years of relevant work experience in the following:

  • Managing technical programs and delivering complex systems, consisting of Silicon, Hardware and Software products

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in SW engineering and program management

  • Preferred PMP or equivalent certification

  • Experience with Jira and modern development tools

  • Demonstrated competency with Agile and DevOps methodologies, certification a plus

  • Leadership examples in transformation of teams and execution

  • Demonstrated competency with various reporting models

  • Demonstrated communication to Sr. executives and leaders
