Job Description:
This is a Physical Security position with emphasis on secured area construction. Responsibilities include implementation and compliance with all US Government and Raytheon Technologies security requirements. Incumbent will provide guidance and direction to Closed Area Custodians and Contractor Program Security Officers (CPSO). This role will coordinate with external and internal customers on physical security requirements, and interface with Raytheon management on major matters pertaining to the programs polices, plans, and objectives.

Job Duties Include but are not limited to:
  1. Leads physical security requirements to safeguard classified information across the business as it relates to meeting new construction and renovation requirements for standing up DoD closed areas and SAPs/SCIFs.
  2. Responsible for oversight of all closed area compliance across the business to ensure all aspects of customer requirements are being met (e.g. NISPOM, JAFAN 6/9, ICD 705, and UL 2050).
  3. Reviews building construction/remodel design plans. This person must be able to communicate vision and strategies effectively with both Raytheon leadership and strategic partners.
This position can be a Sr. Technical Security Specialist (G08) or Principal Technical Security Specialist (G09) based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position.

This position is based in New England serving our New England locations (MA, RI)


U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance as of day one of employment.


Required Education, Skills & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree or 8 years relevant equivalent experience required PLUS the following;
  • Required Security Clearance: Possess a minimum of a current, final Secret security clearance (a current investigation is defined as an investigation not older than six years); must be able to obtain a DoD Top Secret security clearance Eligibility for additional clearances may also be required from the customer.
  • Minimum 4+ years (G08) or Minimum 6+ years' (G09) experience in Security related position applying NISPOM, UL 2050, JAFAN 6/9, and/or ICD 705 requirements
  • Extensive experience in threat assessment and risk analysis, integrated physical security systems and/or ongoing evaluations of security measures
  • Comprehensive understanding of Fixed Facility Checklist, self-inspections and/or DCSA Form147s
  • Knowledge of general security in depth principles
  • U.S. Citizenship
Desired Education, Skills & Experience:
  • Bachelors/Masters Degree in Business Management, Security and/or Risk Management, Government Policy, Information Management, Criminal Justice, or other related major
  • Possess a minimum of a current, final TOP SECRET security clearance with an investigation not older than 6 years on the first day of employment.
  • Professional certifications i.e., Physical Security Professional (PSP), Physical Security Certification (PSC), Security Asset Protection Professional Certification (SAPPC).
  • Experience in a multi-site environment utilizing state-of-the-art electronics with knowledge of TCP/IP, fiber-optic and CAD experience is highly desirable.
  • Ability to collaborate with other businesses in developing and maintaining a progressive security program.
  • Ability to work effectively and comfortably with internal and external customers of all levels.
  • Experience maintaining a Physical Security program consisting of Sensitive Conventional Arms, Ammunition, and Explosives (AA&E)
