The Apple Pay Team is looking for an experienced Engineering Project Manager to support out SRE (or E2E) team and help better manage and drive the relationship with partners in the financial industry like payment networks, banks, acquirers, transit partners or merchants. You will possess expertise in operations, global payments, customer (internal and external) experiences and preferably have a background in program management and/or relationship, third party partner relations

As an Engineering Project Manager you will be responsible for coordinating and managing large multi-functional teams as well as internal and external resources to execute and deliver on exciting and innovative payment programs. You will be well-structured, methodical and utilize a strong technical background to prioritize and problem solve

Key Qualifications

  • Prior work experience in operations, vendor/third party support management, new product/program introduction, and payment integration preferably with a large corporation
  • Solid project management, organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks and follow through deadlines/projects simultaneously under minimal supervision
  • Exceptional business communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to interact effectively with individuals and groups at all levels of the organization
  • Builds rapport with people inside and outside the organization
  • Strong analytical capabilities coupled with good business insight
  • Positive attitude and team focus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
  • Experience or knowledge of technology and payment sector desired
  • Sensitive to cultural differences in country/region of coverage

Description

The SRE Engineering Project Manager is responsible for the overall strategy, development, implementation and measurement of Apple Pay's SRE (or E2E) integration and updates. The SRE Engineering Project Manager's responsibilities also include but are not limited to new product/program readiness, suppliers' overall performance analysis, business impact analysis/recommendations

Job responsibilities include:
- Program & Project Management
- Lead numerous projects, including communication and project planning process
- Identify project timeframes, achievements, partners and resources
- Provide and present risk assessment for suppliers from product development or third party technology providers, lifecycle and update roadmap.
- Drive actions to improve performance and analyze system performance and business impact proposals
- Work with third party integration providers to raise and resolve any non-compliance issues resulting from updates or audits
- Lead focused investigations for core violation cases and follow through remediation programs in partnership w/ third party partners
- Participate in other Apple Pay team initiatives and projects
- Facilitate cross functional team discussions to establish and enforce Apple Pay requirements in design, manufacturing, integration selection, and expansion decisions
- Partner with internal business partners such as Program Management, Training & Development, etc., providing information as needed
- Prepare for upcoming product roadmaps
- Educate Apple personnel in Apple Pay program, practices and standards

Education & Experience

BA/BS degree desired
