External Manufacturing Production (EMP) team is chartered with high volume manufacturing of Intel products with our 3rd party Foundry and OSAT suppliers.
Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
- Work with foundry teams to identify, validate and roll-out robust process solutions/improvement actions for yield and PPAC improvement with external foundry partners.
- Participate in defining process change validation plans with the foundry team.
- Evaluate process changes/optimizations proposed by the foundry partners in terms of quality/reliability, process marginality and sustainability.
- Provide process technology expertise to ensure high quality and reliability for Intel chips and to drive continuous yield and PPAC improvement activities.
- Support yield, quality, manufacturability debug and continuous improvement (CIP) activities with special focus on the reduction of systematics, process marginalities, power-performance detractors and defectivity yield loss mechanisms.
- Coordinate and lead focused taskforces as needed for addressing yield / excursion issues and providing solutions with external foundries to ensure smooth ramp and HVM sustaining.
- Centralize learning and standardize / deploy system and process in PVE and HVM.
- Understand the semiconductor technology offering landscape, strengths and weaknesses and participate in driving improvements.
- Work collaboratively
with multiple teams not only within the org but also from the BU
engineering / NPI groups and key manufacturing partners to enhance
and accelerate yield and PPAC
optimization.

Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. This Position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
- 10+ years of relevant experience with sound technical skills, including FE / BE process integration, device-process interactions, yield improvement, product quality and reliability and manufacturability enhancement.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree Engineering or related field or Ph.D. preferred.

Work Model for this Role
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
