The Systems, Software and Architecture Research (SSA) group within Intel Labs is seeking a passionate, self-driven candidate for a RnD position in Intel's Emerging Systems Lab (ESL). The candidate will be contributing to Intel's research on autonomous systems (AV and Robotics) working closely with our Business Unit partners for developing and transferring the cutting edge technology components. Part of the research scope will include research on infrastructure-based robotics. Candidate will also spearhead development, submission and execution of research proposals in the area of autonomous systems research for broader collaboration across the research community. The work will involve implementing the developed solutions efficiently on Intel platforms, developing system prototypes, and working with business units to integrate the solutions into Intel's product offerings. The candidate will also have opportunities to publish their work in top-tier academic journals and conferences.

Qualifications
You must possess the below requirements to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum
Qualifications:
The candidate must possess a Masters degree ( with 5+ years industry experience ) or Ph.D. degree ( with 3+ years industry experience ) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field.
3+ years of experience in below areas:
Autonomous systems, robotics, perception and navigation algorithms.
Machine learning and AI algorithms including deep-learning.
Coursework in robotics, machine learning, linear algebra, linear and non-linear optimization.
Familiarity with deep-learning frameworks such as Tensorflow and/or Pytorch.
End-to-end systems optimization under various performance and latency constraints
Preferred Qualifications:
Image processing, video processing with a strong background in signal processing
Image/video compression with a strong background in information theory
Computer vision
Hardware and architectures for machine learning
Experience optimizing ML workloads on autonomous platforms

Annual Salary
Range for jobs which could be performed in US,
Colorado:
$171,440.00-$257,260.00

Work Model for this Role
This role is available as fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need.
