Join the Super Compute
Platforms Group in the System and Platform Architecture team and
undertake research into futuristic high-performance compute (HPC)
systems. Our focus is on the research and the development of the
next generation supercomputing systems with an emphasis on short
medium and long-range research on improving or inventing processor
architecture, communication and/or system solutions to accelerate
High Performance Computing (HPC)
applications.
We are looking for an Zettascale
Storage Architect who is inquisitive and ready to invent new
technologies here at Intel. Responsibilities include, but are not
limited to the following:
- Influencing the shaping of future Intel products by significantly contributing to the architecture used across multiple design families for storage
- Providing multilayered technical expertise and innovative ideas for the next generation initiatives
- Analyzing performance bottlenecks in high performance storage systems, root causes architectural and microarchitectural factors in storage performance and invent solutions
- Determining, specifying, and
evaluating the viability of complex and novel storage technologies
and ensures that software and hardware interact correctly to
provide a complete
solution.

Qualifications
Minimum
skills and experience:
A
Bachelor's degree in Electrical /Computer Engineering,
Computer Science or directly related fields.
Your must have 8 + years of industry work experience, in one, or more of the following areas:
- Microprocessor architecture including processor architecture, cache architecture, system level coherency, shared virtual memory, network on chip, on-die interconnect, fabrics, and/or related computer components
- Modern architectural techniques regarding performance and power analysis and modeling of modern microprocessors and system
- Hardware and software research and development projects
- High level language programming (i.e. C, C++, OpenCL, scripting, Python, Perl, and experience in Linux and Windows environments)
Preferred skills and experience:
- A Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field, and 8+ years of industry work experience
- A PhD in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field, and 6+ years of industry work experience
- Research experience on advanced microarchitecture such as: pipelined out of order processors, dataflow architecture, cache, coherent on chip multiprocessors, GPU, ML and DL
- Performance and energy modeling frameworks such as: M5, Sniper, or Pin
- Software and hardware interactions and aspects of the codesign knowledge
- Parallel programming concepts
- HPC software stacks including MPI and OpenMP
- HPC applications and systems
- Networking concepts such as Ethernet, InfiniBand, etc. knowledge

$171,710.00-$274,890.00
